31.07.2019 Cleaning Windows in a Brewery
We started with one.
Then Mal.
Then he flit the nest
Then mark.
It's class
For 4 and a half years we've just been focused on production.
Now we can stop. Take a breathe. Think. Say hello. Look around us.
And maybe even smile.
We've been investing in Lab Equipment. That's great
And we can now look at other parts of the business.
What does It mean to be a cooperative brewery?
We can start to think about things like shelf life.
And the quality of the beer after we package it. #coldchain
And perhaps most importantly, we can steward the space we've been given.
Portview is incredible.
70, 80, 90 hour weeks. Wanting to protect employee boundaries.
This has all meant that maintaining our space hasn't even been a low priority.
But that's slowly changed over the last little while.
The floor is cleaner.
We bought a hoover.
Just the the other day, Jonny spent half a day cleaning the windows.
We are starting to think about these things.
It's nice to have the time to steward things well.
And at least subconsciously, we think it'll improve the beer too.
