    Reports To: General Manager
    Salary: £10.42 per hour  

    Positions available: 3x Part time - 16 hours per week, shifts include weekends, evenings and holidays

    Team Member Job Description

    A Team Member will work with the team in the day to day running of the The John Hewitt whilst on shift, including but not limited to; 

    • Provide a world class customer experience
    • Ensure the The John Hewitt is kept clean and tidy at all times
    • Uphold the The John Hewitt values, policies and procedures 
    • Work as part of a team to achieve these goals.

    The John Hewitt is one of Belfast’s most loved establishments with a incredible team, focusing on Live Music, support of the Arts, and really really really good beer. With 16 taps, there is something for everyone. We will have 8 Boundary Taps, 2 rotating Taps, and a permanent Tap each for our best friends!

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Development, Performance and Morale of the Team

    • Takes part in ongoing training and highlights areas for improvement 
    • Takes the time to raise any issues of concern 
    • Promotes a positive and safe working environment with a focus on teamwork and quality
    • Shows commitment to personal development
    • Attends team training sessions 

    Customer Service and Satisfaction

    • Demonstrates a passion for service and product quality by maintaining a strong front of house presence
    • Upholds standards of quality product and service in all operations
    • Supports with running of events, tours and tastings

    Compliance to Boundary’s Standards, Procedures and Policies 

    • Works in line with company policies and procedures
    • Works in line with Boundary health and safety, security policies and risk assessments 
    • Ensures adherence to company handbook, hospitality playbook and standards of service throughout the venue

    Appearance and Maintenance of Premises and Cellar Equipment

    • Upholds cleanliness standards through premises 
    • Supports with maintenance programme to ensure the good working order of the cellar equipment.
    • Ensures that issues that affect the good working order of any equipment are communicated back to the Management Team immediately and dealt with were possible
    • Assists with stock take and management of any discrepancies

    Communication with Venue Management Team, Boundary Team and Company Directors

    • Maintains confidentiality of all company information and is forthcoming in reporting all policy and procedure violations or wrongdoing to the Taproom Manager
    • Supports open communication with wider Boundary team

    Person Specification

    • Deeply passionate about hospitality, and helping others to become the same
    • Willingness to champion Boundary and demonstrate passion for its work
    • Uncompromising standards with respect to quality 
    • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback and challenge
    • A desire to learn and share knowledge

    We are wanting to hire team members that are passionate about world class customer service and about all things Boundary! If you also have experience in a customer service role, or experience in upholding high levels of service, cleanliness and adherence to procedure, that’s great!     Positions available: 2x Part Time - 16 & 8 hours per week, shifts include weekends and evenings

    Team Member Job Description

    At Boundary Taproom, a Team Member will be involved in the day to day running of
    the bar. The job will include, but not be limited to:

    • Providing a world class customer experience
    • Ensure the Taproom is kept clean and tidy at all times
    • Uphold the Boundary Taproom values, policies and procedures

Opening our doors in 2014, we were the first brewery in NI to bring together modern US styles with the more traditional Belgian/French style beers. Boundary is a young and growing brewery in a young and growing beer scene. We have long dreamt of being able to welcome guests to a Taproom at the brewery. Working with the Taproom Team you will play a key role in making that dream become a reality! As a Cooperative, you can become an employee member. That means you own the brewery. As a member and an employee, you also have a great chance to sit on the Board of Directors, should you wish.
